Naomi Marchbank (b. 2001) is a multidisciplinary artist and curator based in London. They received their BA in Fine Art with History of Art from the University of Leeds in 2024, and completed an Erasmus year in the Intermedia department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem) in 2023. Their work spans drawing, printmaking, installation, and digital media, often inviting interaction from the viewer.
'My practice is led with a logical and ritualistic approach. I am drawn to the repetitive, the mathematical and the schematic. I look to locate the imperfect within mathematically rigid settings, exploring themes such as monotony, structure or the dissonance between human error and technological perfection. I believe there is joy to be found in simplicity and repetition. When things are stripped back to their bare units, that is where divergence is most notable.'
